The Colorado PGA's Golf in School program is back! Great work by the students of Columbine Hills Elementary Monday and big shout out to Steven Sullivan for getting this season started right. We're so excited for 2023 where for the first time ever, schools will be provided with all the equipment and have the ability for teachers to teach the program year-round instead of visiting one school at a time. Congratulations to @maddybantegolf and @kyle_leydon11 on earning 'Future Famers' honors by the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame! 🏆 Maddy Bante of Englewood became the first Coloradan since 2015 to earn the USGA-AJGA President's Leadership Award, an award that goes to a male and female golfer who show leadership and community service through their involvement in the USGA's Leadership Links Program. As a member of the Hale Irwin Player Program, Bante also won the 3A girls state high school individual title and led St. Mary's academy to it's second straight team championship! Kyle Leydon of Commerce City impressed in 2022 as well with plenty of good scores and top finishes. Leydon took first place in the Colorado PGA Junior Invitational Major boosting him to the top of the COPGA's boys junior golf points list. As a member of the First Tee of Green Valley Ranch, he also placed T-7 in the First Tee National Championship and qualified to play in the 2022 Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship!
