The Junior Development Series (JDS) is a way for juniors to gain a competitive golf experience in a more relaxed and fun environment. The JDS offers a non-intimidating, FUN, focused junior golf environment purposed to foster friendships, inspire commitment and offer guidance.

Membership Level Upgrade

Once a Junior Development Series Member becomes eligible for the Junior Player Series, they may upgrade memberships online by paying the remaining $50.00 balance. You may contact the Colorado PGA at any time to upgrade.

Yardage

Play will be contested on executive length courses and par three courses.  Precise yardages will be available online five days before the event.

     9 Hole Tournaments

  • Level 1: Max 1500 yards (ONLY 3-hole or 6-hole)
  • Level 2: Max 2000 yards (ONLY 9-hole)
  • Level 3: Max 2500 yards (ONLY 9-hole)

    18 Hole Tournaments

  • Level 2: Max 4000 yards
  • Level 3: Max 5000 yards

Membership fee - $100

Tournament Entry fees -

  • $45 per 9 hole event
  • $90 per 18 hole event

Stroke Limit

Double Par + 1

Bunker Rule

If a player’s ball is in a bunker and has taken two strokes at the ball in the same bunker and has not advanced the ball out of the bunker, the player may under no penalty, drop the ball outside the bunker at the nearest point one club length, NO CLOSER to the hole and continue play.

Penalty Area Rule

 If a player hits 2 balls into the same red penalty area, they may drop a ball on the opposite side of the penalty area. (Example: Player hits his or her first (1) shot into water. Player Drops and lays two (2). Player proceeds to hit his or her third (3) shot into the same penalty area. The player then can drop on the other side of the penalty area and lay four (4) and proceed to hit their fifth shot (5).
